With more than three decades of history,
the Taichung Airport has maintained and added
to its facilities to meet world standards.
In order to improve aviation safety, the airport
has upgraded and increased its facilities
and services based on the modifications of
international civil aviation regulations.
The airport has attempted to create a convenient
and comfortable environment for passengers,
which is also efficient. According to the
following short, mid and long term plans,
the airport has thoroughly thought out its
development after moving to the new Cing Cyuan
Gang terminal：
Short Term Development Plan:
- To accelerate 『the 1st phase expansion
of the Central Taiwan International Airport』
- To reinforce the security surveillance
system
Mid Term Development Plan:
- To accomplish the mid term and long term
planning for the Central Taiwan International
Airport
- Coordinate the establishment of MRT stations
for the greater Taichung area and improve
the outbound traffic.
Long Term Development Plan：
- To develop the Central Taiwan International
Airport as a passenger and cargo transfer
destination.
- To give an overall review of the civil
aviation development and the use of land.
- In conjunction with the relationship
with the Taichung Port, Central Taiwan Science
Park, Taiwan High Speed Rail and MRT to
generate a niche for economic development
in central Taiwan.
